American Workforce Group has partnered with an industry-leading foam manufacturer and composite fabricator to hire a dependable, full-time Forklift Operator / Material Handler on their steady weekday day shift. In this active plant logistics role, you will maintain department flow by operating forklifts, loading and unloading production carousels, scanning inventory, stacking large foam buns, and verifying material specs to strict 1/16" tolerances. Description for Forklift Operator / Material Handler:

• Safely operate industrial sit-down forklifts to transport raw foam buns, intermediate materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Maintain department material balance and workflow while keeping plant productivity and strict safety guidelines top priorities.
• Load and unload production carousels, staging racks, and cutting lines with required materials.
• Use barcode RF scanners to accurately track, verify, and relocate inventory into designated warehouse bays and racking.
• Monitor and control inventories across all stages: raw foam buns, in-process staging racks, and packaged finished parts.
• Review daily inventory reports (such as Report 901) to investigate, locate, and reconcile un-located items.
• Maintain neat, safe, and stable stacks of large foam buns and raw materials across the floor.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight trailers and flatbeds cleanly with zero product damage.
• Verify part conformance and cut dimensions using standard tape measures down to 1/16" increments .
• Maintain 5S workplace organization standards and follow all plant safety protocols.

Details for Forklift Operator / Material Handler:

• Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00 / hour (DOE).
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Core Day Shift with weekends OFF!).
• Environment: Fast-paced, modern manufacturing and foam conversion facility.
• Position Type: Full-Time, long-term career opportunity with strong rollover potential.

Requirements for Forklift Operator / Material Handler:

• Forklift Operating Chops: Verifiable experience safely operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Precision Measurement: Proven ability to read and interpret tape measures down to 1/16" increments or finer.
• Inventory & Tech Aptitude: Experience using RF scanners, conducting inventory cycle counts, and reading inventory discrepancy reports.
• Math & Problem Solving: Strong basic math skills to tally foam components; ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
• Drive & Productivity: Self-motivated individual who meets high throughput standards, works efficiently, and prioritizes jobsite safety.
• Physical Capabilities: Comfortable standing, walking, mounting/dismounting forklifts, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt morning punctuality, and reliable transportation.
